The Global Passenger Network (GPN) is an organization which offers coach hire in 30 countries worldwide through affiliated renowned coach operators. Biannual GPN organizes a general meeting which is hosted every time in a different country by one of the members. For the 2nd edition of 2015 was Staf Cars NV / Solmar Tours pride to welcome all members in Lommel, Belgium.

GPN has the continuous ambition to lift the travel of coach transport to a higher level. During the General Meeting the members talked about safety, future and innovation of the bus. It is also important that the members learn more about the surroundings where the meetings are held. The welcoming ceremony was held at the House of Glass in Lommel, where the Mayor Mr. VanVelthoven spoke to the GPN members and presented the highlights of the surroundings of Lommel.

A stone's throw from Lommel, VDL Bus & Coach bv is located and as a Strategic Alliance Partner the GPN members did a factory tour. DAF Trucks in Eindhoven had opened her doors to GPN and shown the production of engines and trucks. The GPN members obviously also had a business visit to Staf Cars NV in Lommel and Solmar Tours in Maarheeze as they were the hosts this meeting.

Following the General Meeting, the majority of the members also visited Busworld in Kortrijk, the oldest and largest fair for buses and coaches. GPN looks back on a very successful meeting and is looking forward to the next meeting to be held in Malta in March 2016.
