Escot's Overnight School Trip Packing List
Overnight field trips are an awesome way for students to gain insight into the subjects they’ve been studying. Learning firsthand what they’ve been reading about is an invaluable way to make the educational experience come to life. But before you hop on those Escot buses, there are things to keep in mind when getting students ready for the trip. We’ve talked to teachers about what items students commonly forget. Remind your student about these 5 important items before going on your educational adventure.

1) Bring extra cash for food/souvenirs
Bringing some extra cash is always a good idea. This will give your students the freedom to enhance their learning experience by buying a souvenir, or just some extra food they’re hungry.
2) Books, homework, or games
While all our buses are equipped with DVD and WiFi, it never hurts to have entertainment options. Have students bring books, games or homework to help the road time fly by.
3) Sunscreen, hats and umbrellas
If part of your trip will be outside, make sure students are ready for the weather. No one is having a good time if they’re sunburnt or soaking wet. It’s the simple things make the biggest differences.
4) Toiletries
Students sometimes forget that on overnight trips, they need to bring soap, toothpaste etc. It’s never fun having to have ‘the talk’ with a student about their hygiene issues. Remind kids to pack all the different toiletries they’ll need.
5) Avoid bringing valuables
Every teacher has a story about the student who lost something expensive. While the gadgets might be tougher to leave at home, there is little to no reason to bring along expensive jewelry.
